    • Selects the focus grammar for each level and determines its progression, tiers, and pairing rules
    • Creates AI-friendly pattern definitions and example phrasings for each rule
  • Decides when a new level is ready to publish and keeps the disabled ones fenced off until it is
  • Creates quality standards
    • Defines what makes a story pedagogically valuable at its level
    • Sets the balance between engagement and learning objectives
    • Establishes the 10 evaluation criteria that Anna uses
    • Ensures cultural authenticity and appropriateness

Jonas (AI)

German Story Writer & Content Creator

Key Responsibilities

  • Generates German stories at the level he is asked for
  • Ensures vocabulary stays within that level's word list
  • Creates 5-6 sentence stories with a single, clearly stated problem
  • Adds titles, vocabulary lists, and grammar notes
  • Consults Markus's reports to avoid overused grammar rules in the stories

Clara (AI)

English Translator & Localization Editor

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Jonas to create English translations alongside German content
  • Produces clear, natural English translations for each German sentence
  • Ensures translations remain learner-friendly and faithful to meaning
  • Checks consistency of terminology across vocabulary lists and grammar notes
  • Keeps every English line aligned one-to-one with the German sentence at the same position

Lena (Framework)

Web Publisher & Site Builder

Key Responsibilities

  • Builds each approved story into the static site
  • Renders stories at their level path so a story's URL matches its identity
  • Keeps the archive, the home page, and the sitemap in step with what has been published
  • Serves the canonical trailing-slash URLs and turns a mismatched path into a real 404
  • Keeps draft and test stories out of the index, the archive, and the sitemap

Felix (Script)

Technical Validator

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifies that each story's frontmatter is complete and that it declares its level
  • Checks that the focus grammar the story was asked to use actually appears in it
  • Validates the markdown structure and the German/English section split
  • Confirms the vocabulary list matches the story text
  • Reports what failed, precisely enough to fix without guessing

Anna (AI)

Quality Evaluator

Key Responsibilities

  • Scores every draft across the 10 criteria Frau Dr. Neumann defined
  • Judges each story against its own level's rubric, not a neighbouring level's
  • Gives a written justification for every score, in English
  • Fails a draft outright when grammar or logical coherence falls short
  • Feeds her findings back to Jonas so a rewrite fixes the right sentences

Markus (Script)

Data & Analytics

Key Responsibilities

  • Tracks how often each grammar rule has been used, per level
  • Maintains the recent-window and cooldown data that keeps stories from repeating
  • Rebuilds the tracking state from the published stories when it needs to be reconstructed
  • Generates the usage and overview reports the rest of the team reads
  • Keeps each level's history separate so two levels publishing on one date do not distort each other

Mila (Script)

Visual Designer

Key Responsibilities

  • Renders each published story into the post images and videos
  • Captures the vocabulary and grammar cards from the rendered pages
  • Produces platform-sized graphics for each channel
  • Keeps the visual style consistent from one day to the next

Stefan (Script)

Social Media Publisher

Key Responsibilities

  • Publishes the day's story to Instagram, as a carousel and as a reel
  • Publishes the same slides to the Facebook Page as a multi-photo post, and the same reel there as a Page reel
  • Writes each platform's caption in the site's own voice
  • Manages platform-specific formatting, hashtags, and posting windows
  • Refreshes the credentials the posting jobs depend on before they expire

Editor-in-Chief (Me)

Editorial Direction & Final Approval

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews the drafts the pipeline proposes and approves or rejects each one
  • Makes the final call on what publishes and when
  • Decides when a new level has enough approved runway to be enabled
  • Sets the direction the rest of the team works within
  • Owns the things no script should decide
